"A man two women remastered"
100x100cm Acrylic on canvas 2019

"A Man two women remastered" is, at it is stated in the title, a modern retake on my early style (of work, composition and thematic) This piece is a commission from my dear friend collector Robert Garcia. The context of the piece is the study of the relation between man and women, specifically from the man's point of view, in terms of what is loyalty and what is treason. This piece obviously evoques temptation and the tension between sexual impulses and the ill to maintain the couple safe from harm, jealousy and treason. The following paragraph describes "Man and Two Women" my original and initial 2010's piece.

"Man and two women" is a typical Rodrigo's interlacing bodies and figures in an abstract/cubist style. In this case it's the morphing of two women's figures and expressions with a lucky man. This piece is in the artists early classic style. Unique and unusual big size format for the collection of similar, parallel and related pieces of the period, In this piece you can still feel the naive yet bold affirmation of the composition and deep color use. Thematic are obviously sexually charged but it is also clear that the artist also uses the woman as an excuse to experiment with form and composition for the sake of it.
